I believe that life is short, so make sure work is not work, but an expression of your God-given talents and passion - the rest falls into place. Life has taught me that," And this, too, shall pass" is a great way to enjoy the good times and survive the not-so-good times.

As a classic middle child, I get my thrills in silently observing my children, family, staff, and friends doing their thing and having success. Always asking "What if ..." keeps me motivated, but others constantly confused. Never throw anything anyway - you never know when you'll need it again. Besides it's the Green thing to do (and explains my work station)! I miss my grandparents. I wish I could pick their brains, and hear their stories again.

My Favorite Piece of Furniture: I like many and have trained (brainwashed?) my children to spot Herman Miller pieces in the TV shows and movies they watch. And yes, I have embarrassed them to death on many occasions. The Eames Molded Plywood Chair does have a place in my heart for its simple but comfortable design.

Penny Bunn - (Office Manager)

I believe a perfect day consists of an afternoon sitting on the beach listening to the sounds of the ocean while reading a good book, then taking my bulldog, Boss, who has more character than most people, for a long walk. Then I'd top that off with watching one of my boys play baseball and there you have it, a perfect day! I do believe everything happens for a reason even though you may not know that reason for a very long time; the more hardships that life brings your way the stronger you become. I love to plant flowers in the spring and care for them through the summer.

My Favorite Piece of Furniture: I never knew how much difference an office chair could make until I sat in a Herman Miller Aeron Chair!

Lisa Wylie - (Business Development and Marketing)

I believe that the morning doesn't officially start until my third cup of coffee; cooking is my favorite creative outlet; IU soccer is the ONLY sport and watching Sunday sunsets on the lake with a great glass of wine is what heaven must be like. I love spending time being silly and giggling with children and believe it adds years to your life. You're never given more than you can handle; hugs are always the best medicine and a smile can make someone's day. Most importantly, you can never watch too many rerun episodes of Seinfeld!

Nicole Miller - (Senior Designer)

I believe "there's a world of difference between truth and facts. Facts can obscure the truth." (Maya Angelou); and "wine is constant proof that God loves us and loves to see us happy." (Benjamin Franklin). I love to try and play golf (even though I haven't quite mastered it yet) and hang out with friends, family and the love of my life. I truly believe that the best place to watch fireworks is looking down from a helicopter, and the best memories are just being with Grandma and Grandpa on the farm.

My Favorite Piece of Furniture: Nelson Marshmallow Sofa, it's original and fun all wrapped up in one! I'm a poet and didn't know it...

Courtney Ternet - (Senior Designer)

I believe mountains were made to hike. My favorite time of day is sunrise and when no one else is up (good cup of coffee in hand). I'm full of pure joy when one of my nieces or nephews gives me a hug. I'm moved by art but not when I have to think too much on what the heck it is. I'm a sucker for puppies and even a bigger one for my own dogs. I believe in bike rides, kickball and ghost in the grave yard (can you tell I grew up without video games?). When I'm mentally lost, I go to nature to get back on track. I love the smell of fresh cut grass. My family is everything to me. My motto in life is, "live it up, don't be afraid and bring it on"!

My Favorite Piece of Furniture: I love the Herman Miller Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman. Why you ask? It's simply stunning and on top of all that stylish design, sitting in it is like getting the best hug from your mom. Comfy!

Katie Nehrenz - (Designer)

I believe that the color green is amazing; Petoskey, Michigan is fantastic; summer is way too short and good times are made by playing volleyball! Everyone should take dance lessons at least once in their life (attempting that now) and I believe Photography might just be the love of my life. My cup is ALWAYS half full, I'll try anything once, and laughter puts a smile in my heart. I'm not afraid of color, I think there is an opportunity to expand your mind every day, I never want to lose the kid in me, and I think the world is a beautiful place and lastly, my friends are my family, my family is my life, God is good, and I never say no to chocolate!

I believe I definitely should have been born British as I have a deep passion for travel 'across the pond' (and have 10 times!); the ritual of the afternoon tea and the joy of baking various scrumptious morsels to enjoy with my "spot o' tea". I love to travel extensively; spend time absorbed in a good book; and believe that puttering about my flowerbed listening to the birds is just good for the soul.
